With the boys all grown and left home Jerry & Brenda made the most of their new found freedom to visit all those places in Europe that can be better appreciated without bored teenagers in tow.

Their travels also took them further afield visiting Brenda's sister Kathleen in the USA and several trips to visit Nicholas (The Eldest) in Hong Kong, Singapore and Penang.

Jerry & Brenda celebrated their Ruby wedding anniversary with family and friends at the Moorcock Inn, Waddington in 2003. A life of happy retirement was cut short soon after this when Brenda was taken poorly.  After several years Mum succumbed to her condition and died in May 2006.
